The first site I would like to tell everybody about is a blog on wordpress.com called Professional Online Marketing. This web site is dedicated to more business conceptualization and a touch of online business ethics. The site is new, but there is already some solid content here for anybody starting a new online business. Another wordpress site that I let die, but I am bringing back is Free Website Tools 4 U so make sure to give it a look too.

The Free Webmaster Tips site is a blogger blog that I just started adding some more “how to” style webmaster information. This site will offer more behind the scenes information and technical tutorials in the near future.

Another site that I have just launched is a traffic generating program that I call the Link Building Ninja training. This site is totally free and offers nothing but the nuts and bolts that it takes to build a huge amount of website traffic and of course the tools, resources and methodology that I personally use. I have a bunch of free stuff over there for anybody who gets registered including a free domain name, so check it out.

Well trust me, you are not alone.  This is one of the most frustrating problems for webmasters and Internet marketers alike.  If you are putting in the work and simply not getting the results, trust me I know exactly how you feel and I have definitely been through this.  However, I do have some helpful hints to get your past this “bump in the road” and back on track with your internet marketing efforts.

I was recently asked a question on a forum that I frequent “I have done my keyword research and have submitted my info to squidoo and ezinearticles, but I am not getting ranked, I feel like I am missing something?”

Well, the conversation on the forum was about different methods of keyword research that different people use.  There are many different methods that people use and some are obviously more effective than others. The problem it turned out was not finding the right keyword to use, but how to market the site and get link exposure with the keyword term that this member was trying to focus on.

If you do not understand what keyword research is, join our mailing list here and you will get a link to some videos that will help out with this.  For those of you who are already doing some keyword research and then trying to focus your link building efforts to get ranked for those keywords, I will give you the same reply I posted in the forum.  If you do not know what keyword research is and do not fully understand link building and anchor text yet, please do not proceed with the steps below!
The methodology I will explain is very quick and dirty seo, but when it comes down to it I have used these exact steps to successfully launch many a profitable site and I know these will work for you too.  All you have to do is apply the steps and keep mixing up your keyword phrase in relevant long tail keyword phrases and You Will Get Results!

Write one new article, get your keyword or a variation of it in the title, body, keyword tags and make a link with the same or variant of your keywords in the post, to the post. Do Not make the keyword spammed throughout, make it natural and make this one of the best posts you ever wrote, this is the gold nugget that you are going to trade for traffic!

Publish this, take your rss feed over to http://feedburner.com, burn it, then get over to http://pingoat.com

Now that you are at http://pingoat.com submit both your website feed and the feedburner feed, with a slight variation in the title, but still Keep Your Keywords In There Too.

Next it is time to do some social bookmarking, get over to:

http://stumbleupon.com
http://reddit.com
http://mixx.com

and bookmark you new post, do this at different times of the day, not all at once.

Now, write you up a small 300-500 word article and post it on all article directories( http://ezinearticles.com http://goarticles.com http://articledashboard.com ), authority sites( http://squidoo.com http://hubpages.com http://facebook.com http://knol.google.com )and as many blogs that you can(heres the blog submitter I use, it’s free)then time to get your article on some authority blogs, say hello to http://blogger.com http://blog.com http://fortuneboard.com and http://posterous.com

Everywhere you submit you article you need to make sure that you can get at least one link with a variation of your keyword in the article or do not waste your time there.

You may also want to spend some time on popular social sites telling people about the new post, Google loves to see some traffic to a page that it is going to rank. I suggest you use http://ping.fm to multiply your efforts here.

I know this sounds like you are going to be carpet bombing the web with info and Yes that is the idea. If you want to be noticed by Google, give them something to look at!

This can be done all in one day, but I suggest you spread it out over a few days or even a weeks time, because after all you don’t want to scare Google with to many new links all at once.  Now once you have completed these simple steps, just wash, rinse and repeat; you will be guaranteed results.

That is if you have chosen a worthy keyword!

Well I can tell you if you do the things I spoke of above, you will get traffic! There is no question about it, you will be able to see some immediate traffic from direct click through visitors. However, more importantly, if you use good anchor text and keep mixing up the long tail terms, you will be able to sustain some rather healthy traffic from the search engines as well.

You can look at any of the big name products, video series or guru reports; they all will focus in on one of the sections of info above and build a whole product around it, but you know what, you don’t need to spend $300 dollars to take some logical steps toward your success online. When it comes down to it, there are only 2 things that online marketing comes down to, Distribution and Target Market. Everything else is simply smoke and mirrors.

Now, I will say that much like exercising, some people really do need to make a huge investment in a product to remind them that they need to exercise, however I hope you can find you motivation elsewhere

So if you are not getting results, let’s see what you can change.  The one thing that gets me every time is people who say, well I have not got results yet, so I am just going to keep trying.  Not that having the perseverance to stick with something is bad, but if you are not getting results and you just do more of the same actions that are not getting you results, the odds are all you are going to get, is tired!

Things To Change In Your Current Article Marketing Campaign To Get More Results:

1. Quality Of Content - Article marketing is not all about how many junky articles you can crank out in a day.  It is about how much high quality and grammatically correct articles you can produce.  So don’t be confused the quality of your articles is the single most important factor in being successful with article marketing.  After all if you hope that your articles get published on many other sites, which should be a goal of yours, you need to give them the “meat” so they want to share your information on their own web site.
2. Keyword Research – Don’t just throw out articles and hope people find them, first check and see what people are already looking for and then you will be able to write to the people that are “looking” and this can be a very quick way to get instant positive results in your campaign.  There is no more powerful marketing concept than “preaching to the choir” once you learn how to do this, you will not be able to be stopped!
3. Focus – Again, to some this may sound very elementary, but really focus is one thing that many people loose.  If you are trying to work with too many products or services, it can be easy to loose focus and start writing on all sorts of topics that have nothing to do with each other.  You need to keep your writing and publishing focused on one or 2 related items or topics.    You must become known as the authority on the topic to get the results like an authority on the topic you are focusing on!
4. Article Distribution – Obviously I highly suggest you start right here on ezinearticles.com this is the biggest and best article directory on the web and anybody who does article marketing will tell you the same.  However, you should also understand that your success will be based on how many people you can get to see the information you are sharing, so don’t be afraid to offer your information on 3-5 or even more article directories.  This will help you get more visitors, more eyes and more syndication out of your efforts.
5. Hire A Writer – If you are working on an article marketing campaign that is on a subject matter that you simply do not have the knowledge for or ability to write on, don’t be afraid to get help.  Professional writers can help you create fresh content and may also be able to help you with article distribution.  For many this can be a great way to amplify their efforts and get more done quicker.  Article marketing is very powerful, but if you are not a powerful writer on the topic you are focusing on, seo writers may be able to help take your article marketing campaign to the next level.

There are many more facets to a successful article marketing campaign, but if you are already working with a article marketing campaign that is not getting results, these are five ways you can change what you are already doing and see if you can get more results from your existing efforts.  Many times people spend too much time in areas that are simply not effective and this can lead to a lot of frustration and after all time is money, so you want to make sure you are spending your time effectively and where you are able to see a return on your efforts.
