Blog Ping Service From RSS 3.0
RSS 3.0 is a sister site to webmaster business plan and we have been sharing all sorts of useful information about rss (really simple syndication) over there for about a year now. There are a lot of ways to boost your website traffic just by understanding how to use your RSS Feed correctly. This is why I love RSS and I love to share about it with other webmasters.
About a week ago, we added a script which allows webmasters to perform a blog ping to many popular RSS aggregation services, including Google!
Well, just like any new web service there were a few bugs to work out and a few services were running so slow that it was slowing the blog ping script down. We have since removed the rss services that were causing errors and timing out. So the blog ping service from RSS 3.0 seems to be fully functional and now is ready to serve you!
If you are looking for a new way to boost the traffic coming to a blog or a website, get your rss feed ready and head on over to RSS 3.0 to ping all the top RSS sites for absolutely free!
Unlimited Free Web Site Content
Well I suppose that the title got you interested and I promise that I won’t disappoint. There really are some methods that one can use to create unlimited and fresh content to any web site in the world and I am going to show you how to do it for free.
There is so much hype and misconception on the internet, about duplicate content and RSS feeds these days. So, that in mind, to start off, I wanted to put some of the rumor to rest.
Are websites that use duplicate content punished by google?
Well in a way, I guess you could say that, duplicate content will not get your banned or removed from google’s search results, it will simply not give credit to a site if it notices that the same article has already been indexed. However the overall value of an article and its content even if it is duplicate can be valuable to a websites over all ranking and keyword density.
So does google really penalize for duplicate content?
The answer is No, google simply does not reward you for having duplicate content.
For all the naysayers out there I want to draw your attention to a website of mine that I use nothing but RSS feeds to build content on, meaning that I have never wrote an article for or even posted to the blog, ever!
The site is Cheap Joint – Online Deals
The reason I use this site for an example is that it is easy to see that the site is fulled daily with updates from many sites using an RSS feed reader and google has still assigned it the Page Rank of 2. This is simple proof that if RSS feeds are used correctly and “blended” that your site can still get as much attention from the search engines as if you had written each update yourself.
Now, this site does have over 10,000 posts on it, so I for one am glad that I did not have to spend the time to add all these posts to it, but this is what I am interested in talking about in this article. Anybody can build a site just like this one for cheap if not free.
What You Need To Automate Your Site With Fresh Content
I have added the free plugins “all in one adsense and ypn” and “wp-o-matic” to take full advantage of automating my blog. You never have to post and never have to add your google ads using these plugins and they are free! All you will need is a good web host that offers free wordpress installs and a domain name!
This is just one example of how you can use rss feeds to create fresh content for any website. If you are not using a wordpress blog there are other software’s out there that will take rss feeds using php and generate html code from the feeds automatically as well. The fact is that using rss is an unlimited source for fresh content on any topic imaginable and if you are not able to keep up with your blog this may be a great way for you to fill in the holes, so to speak with updated content to keep your blog looking filled up with up to date info on your topic or niche and it costs nothing.
There are other tools that can really assist as far as making money with the automated content you are feeding your site. Here is another example of a site that is being feed with nothing but rss feed data : Cheap Nokia Phones
This site uses a paid for script that lets you make feeds from amazon, click bank and other popular affiliate sites, using your own affiliate code to make a blog full of your own affiliate products. Again, this is automatically feed, so you can see how easy it is to setup an automated money machine using this script.

What Is A RSS Feed?
So you want to know what an RSS Feed is? Well you have come to the right place. I have been working with a lot of different technologies to do with RSS Feeds recently and I am so exited about the power of using these methods.
I will give a brief overview of what this service is and how you can use this service to promote website and actually build content for a website in this article. I will be sharing more in the next few articles on how to really use the complete power of these methods to develop massive back links and spread your content across the internet with the least amount of effort and the most return!
RSS – Really Simple Syndication
Is a internet service that has been around for years now, but has really been picking up in popularity, as the technology has matured with the new Web 2.0 sites like myspace, facebook and twitter. So RSS, as stated above stands for “Really Simple Syndication” and it allows a website to give a live stream of updates in a format that can be used in your web browser, email client or on your favorite news reader appliction. This simply means that you can get all of the updates from your favorite websites in one place, instead of having to go to each website to see if there are any new posts or articles.
If you want to see an example of a rss feed, just go to feedburner, this is a google site and it is used to track and promote your rss feeds. Just type “Feed Burner” into google and it will be the first link. You can search others RSS Feeds Here and see what “exactly” an rss feed is.
Normal RSS feeds only have 2 different data fields a Title and a Short Description. There are some specialized feeds that allow for attachments of videos or podcasts as well. Depending on the web service you are using to create your feed you may be able to use links within the feed or not.
Some popular RSS models are:
RSS .091
RSS 1.0
RSS 2.0
Atom .03
OPML
RSS Feeds are a great way to get your information out to the world and if you do not have a mailing list on your site anybody can subscribe to your website updates using it. So this in mind, I highly suggest using this service on your web site or web sites.

Read MoreHow To Submit Your RSS Feed
RSS Directories
If you are using a Word Press blog you already have a build in “Ping List” that would let you list each of the sites.
RSS Feed Smart Submission
If you are interested in getting your feed submitted quickly have the following information ready:
1. Your Blog Name
O.K. now that you have it all together, jot down these search phrases :
“Feed Shark”
“ping-o-matic”
“Pingoat”
Now these 3 services are all very similar and they are all free to use. They do have some different listings and there are some sites that each will submit to that are the same. Many people worry about submitting duplicate content or to the same directories twice. I have never had a problem with this, in most all cases, the second submission is simply rejected and not indexed an additional time.
I will submit my feed to each of these services once, then I will do the same again every time that I add a new post to my website. If you are using a wordpress blog you can have this done automatically for you, when you add a new post.
I hope you have found this article to be helpful and informative.

Nick Simpson
