Content Farms And Google
We have all heard about the backlash that Google was receiving from the blogosphere we call the internet. There were more crap content sites out ranking the best resources on the web and this has all come to an end with Google’s most recent algorithm update. Many people are referring to this update as the “Google Farming Update” because of its heavy impact on these content farms. The problem for many people is really deciding which type of article, content or even web site will provide valid information for their search queries. Google has taken it upon themselves to throw down one of the largest Google slaps of all time to knock down these low quality hubs for useless information.
How Does The Farming Update Affect Me?
If everything goes as planned this update will really help those who have been taking the time to create high quality content on their sites. However, if you have been heavily relying on external sources for traffic and your rankings you may want to take a second look at your marketing campaign. There are some web sites that have been major areas for so called seo experts and link builders to leverage for links that have lost some major link juice in this transition. Google claims that about 11% of all searches will be altered by these changes. This means that more than one out of every ten searches will now render altered search results from the Google farming update which is an astonishing number if you consider the millions of searches ran each and every day on Google.
If you have been building links on web sites that have been removed from results or otherwise blocked by Google’s antenna you may notice some loss in position on your own web sites SERP rankings. This can of course bounce up and down and during these big changes most sites will fluctuate. However, now may a crucial time to get more high quality back links coming in to your web site.
Make Google Happy With Unique, Fresh Quality Content
You can avoid having problems by continuing to create new and engaging content. If you can try to write for the reader and not the search engine, you may find more favor in Google’s results now than ever before. If you can share something of value people will talk about it and these “natural” links are going to be much more valuable now that the juicy site links are becoming more and more limited. Do You Need A Professional Display?
There are many places where a pop-up display can really come in handy. Everything from science fairs to business presentations and even trade shows are just some places you may need such a display. To get your idea, concept or business proposition across correctly, you must present yourself and your company correctly. Using the best options to display your information can be a great place to start.
Have you ever been to a trade show where there are sorts of cool pop up displays? These can be very expensive and very extravagant. Depending on what type of presentation is being put on I have seen hundreds of different stands and some pretty cool props. There are some great trade show pop up displays and more that can really make you and your business look much more professional.
Taking the time to plan out your display and your presentation is part of any successful trade show. If you have never planned for such a presentation before you will want to make sure you consult somebody who has, it is amazing what you can learn from somebody who has even the smallest experience in this area. The pop up trade show displays are probably the most commonly used and the easiest to transport too. If you are looking for a display that can go with you anywhere and one that can hold all sorts of posters, pictures and more with ease.
What Types Of Displays Are there?
- Custom pop ups are available with internal shelving, back lighting, different shapes, monitors, dye cut graphics and more.
- Backlit pop ups are like a giant light box. Special panels and lights are hung behind the display and a large transparency graphic is hung on the front.
- Table top pop ups are available for budget conscious end users and are built in miniature.
- Graphic mural pop up trade show displays feature graphic “skins”. Their fabric counterparts feature velcro receptive fabric to allow users to attach detachable graphics to the face.
Bubble kits allow back lit graphics to extend in front of the wall to give a different look.
3D pop up displays offer a unique way of displaying graphics and are the easiest to set up.
If you company or corperate presence requires something a little more professional and possible larger too, pop up booths may be what you need. No matter what type of display you are going to be using, make sure to buy something that will represent your company correctly. With so many choices you will be sure to find the right trade show display if you take your time and work with a reputable provider.
Social Marketing Made Easy
There are so many social networks out there today, it seems to be a “job” just to stop by and check your inbox and friend invites. I know the feeling, I am part of many social networks myself. The problem for many webmasters and internet marketers is that this is still a very effective method of getting the word our about news and your business. This can make for a very hectic and unfocused work environment. Trust me, you don’t want to get caught in a loop of updating your statuses at all these social sites, when you could be spending your time writing solid content for your site, building relevant back links and hopefully dealing with all the sales coming in. The internet is by itself a very distracting place and there is no reason to allow it to make you loose your focus. Keep reading and learn how to spend less time on social sites and more time working with your business, where your focus should be.
The power of your social marketing campaign will come down to 2 simple factors:
- Quality Of Information
- Expansion Of Syndication (across many networks)
If you are getting any results from working with one social network there are many more places you can get the same results, it just comes down to a matter of time. If you are not taking the time to add value to your presence on social networks, you will not be getting the results you are looking for either. That is what makes these the 2 golden rules of social marketing to me.
If you are sending out a bunch of junk and you are only sending it to 5 or 6 people, my guess is that you are not selling much and probably not driving a lot of traffic to your websites either. This is fine if you are only using social sites for fun and to keep in touch with your family and friends. However, if you are trying to use the power of social sites to get your information out to the world, you may need some extra syndication power to give you more bang for your buck as far as time spent on your social marketing efforts.
I have a couple of suggestions to get your social marketing campaign rocking really fast. I have listed the top resources below.
Professional Social Marketing Tools
There are a few paid tools out there to help you get your information out to all your social sites and to twitter effectively and the biggest one on the market today by far is, Socialoomh.com pronounced “Social Oomf” and it does a great job, allowing users to que up tweets and messages to be sent out in the future to many social networks. This allows you to manage and maintain many accounts on many social networks with ease. The fees here are well worth it. This site has a great back end to make sure you can keep your messages personal and get your messages out when you want them to appear from a company you can trust.
Free Social Marketing Tools
There may be a few different free tools on the market, but I can tell you that you will not find one that is easier to use, more powerful and more flexible than Ping.FM This service is seriously a killer when it comes to distribution of your information across multiple social networks with one click. I have used this service for some time and I have nothing but good things to say about their marketing power. Oh and did I say, this is FREE!
I know the title was a little misleading to this one, but to be honest I am not going to waste your time or mine to list other free services that just don’t compare to the power of the Ping.FM service. So if you want to take your social marketing power and syndication to the next level, get over there now and don’t forget to post a thank you down below.
